McNally Robinson, Winnipeg, tomorrow night

Canada is a really big country. I mean it. St John’s to Winnipeg is not completely crossing the country in any direction, but it’s the longest haul I’ve made here. I’m so tired that my eyes keep closing … and so excited that my eyes pop right open again.

I’m reading from deluded your sailors tomorrow night, alongside Jeff Bursey (Verbatim: A Novel) and Bob Armstrong (Dadolescence), and I’m quite happy about it. An uneventful and even comfortable flight — empty seat next to me on both planes — no issues with my crutch, and even the hotel room was ready hours in advance of regular check-in time.

Rehearsing now and wondering just how far to go tomorrow night … stick with the safer scenes, or show blood?
