I have a condition called ankylosing spondylitis, which primarly attacks the spine and hips. I need forearm crutches to walk. This may change, or it may get worse; it’s hard to predict what AS will do.
Later this week, I’m travelling from St John’s, NL, to Ottawa, ON, by plane. This will be my second-longest trip since getting sick. I am going to Ottawa, where I used to live, to give a reading. I’ll also get to meet up with some old friends. On the way, I’ll be blogging about travelling with a disability, with a set of sticks, with my favourite red boots, and with an attitude.
Looking forward to your posts! Enjoy the trip. 🙂
I look forward to hearing how the journey is. Tell me, is your attitude going in the overhead bin or underneath the plane with the luggage?
Beneath the wings. I will lift the very plane from the ground.
🙂 awesome.
