_deluded your sailors_ e-book and the perils of classification

deluded your sailors is now available as an e-book.

It’s classified as action and adventure / mystery and suspense, which is not accurate. There is action. Some mystery. But deluded your sailors is not an action or mystery novel. This sort of thing happens to my books a fair bit — no one knows where to put them. My first novel, Double-blind, is a character study of an American psychiatrist who corrupts himself by working under MK-Ultra protocol; it examines questions of complicity and loyalty and love; the Globe and Mail decided to review it as a crime novel. Double-blind contains no police or detective procedure and shows no return to order, however roughed-up, so it’s not a crime novel. No, I will not sit down and behave.
